Black wattle is great for really long cooks. It has a very dense structure and a long burn time. It is a rich and smoky wood. Black wattle is great all rounder but is especially good with beef.
Black wattle is an Australian native acacia, ours is sourced very close to Natural Smoke HQ.
Chunks are best used in mid-sized smokers and BBQs, such as kettle BBQs, bullet smokers and Kamado style cookers.
Where possible, we source our wood from pesticide free orchards, therefore there may be some evidence of insect damage on some of our wood
